DCE utilizes the latest state-of-the-art computer programs to perform Computer Energy Simulation Analysis (CESA), calculate Cooling and Heating Loads, lighting footcandle analysis and iso-footcandle plots, electrical fault-current and short circuit analysis and voltage drop analysis. DCE employs industry standards, applicable codes and state-of-the-art protocols in performing commissioning and inspection services. The latest drafting software, AutoCAD MEP (Revit) is used by DCE to develop construction documents. This enhances our designs to be viewed in a 3-dimensional space (virtual reality) by the client even before start of construction. Such an approach eliminates potential problems that may surface during the construction phase.

Background
Diversified Consulting Engineers, LLC (DCE) is a full-service, minority-owned consulting engineering firm established in 2003 by Dr. Mohamed M. Bundu, P.E., LEED® A.P., The firm provides Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Engineering design and consulting services and solutions in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North and South Carolina, Delaware, New York, West Virginia, and California. DCE employs 4 design professionals. Within this group are two Senior Mechanical Engineers, one Senior Electrical Engineer, of which two are registered Professional Engineers. Together, all the personnel comes with over 40 years of industry experience. DCE is also active in the US Green Building design arena with LEED certified personnel on the team.
DCE not only specializes in new construction, but also provides services for projects located with existing structures and are skilled at dealing with projects located within historical locations and projects of mixed-use. DCE has provided Systems Commissioning and Inspections services for over 3,000,000 ft2 of commercial facilities, both new and existing/renovation in the Washington, DC Metro area. DCE maintains a full-coverage professional liability insurance policy. DCE has offices in Silver Spring and Bowie, Maryland.
Our President - Dr. Mohamed Bundu (Mo), P.E., LEED AP
Mo has over 25 years’ experience in the engineering consulting and design field. Mo holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors degree (B.Eng w/Hons) from the University of Sierra Leone, completed a Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, Master of Science (MSc) in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA and a Doctor of Engineering (Dr.Eng, 2017) in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA. Mo is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland, Commonwealth of Virginia and The District of Columbia. He is also a Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design Accredited Professional (LEED A.P.). He has participated in the design of several Federal and commercial LEED accredited facilities.
Mo was formerly an instructor at the University of Sierra Leone and was previously employed by CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) as a Research Assistant for a countrywide Energy Modeling Program.
